Pirates Monthly Calender

TRADE DEADLINE DEALS:

Pirates General Manager & Head Coach Bryan Kelly along with Owner & Director of Hockey Operations Tim Toffolo were busy at this years trade deadline.  The Pirates re-aquired veteran forward Charlie Izaguirre from the Ridley Tigers.  Charlie led the team in scoring as a rookie 2 seasons ago winning the 'Rookie of the Year Award' along the way.  The Pirates then aquired veteran 20 year old forward Mark Lucatra from the Buffalo Blades.  The Pirates then dealt leading scorer Patrick Clifford to Stratford in a cash deal.  GM & Head Coach Bryan Kelly was very excited to add 2 top centers to his hockey club for their playoff drive.  "Charlie & Mark are high end quality players that can score & bring us depth heading into the playoffs, i'm very pleased with these aquisitions" he said.

THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES

Thank you to all of the Pirate Fans and sponsors that made this season a tremendous success.  We hope you enjoyed the ride as much as we did.  To all the volunteers.  Hats off to all of you, you are all great friends.   To the coaches and the players what a great ride.  The character and pride that you all showed will never be forgotten.  We will all have great memories for years to come.  To each and every 20 year old Mike, Nick, AAron, Ruby and Cody if you ever need anything we are just a call away you guys are great.    Four years ago a young player came to camp and wanted nothing more than to play JR hockey for his home town.   From that wonderfull goal four yrs ago you scored on a breakaway against Thorold to the last one against the Falls we will never forget watching you grow into the player, leader and young man that you have become.  It was truly a priviledge to have had you in our organization,  the dressing  rooms of the West Side Arena will never be the same without you.  I know that you have lead by example and taught the younger players to take your place for next year.    Good luck Dillon we enjoyed every minute.
